First Days at Home with the new baby 9-4-10

We were all very happy to come home.

Sadie was excited to see Daddy and her new room.

Sadie got a new basketball hoop as her present for being a big sister.
Unfortunately, she wasn't the slightest bit interested.

Dash loves the soothing motions glider from gg and GG.

Grandmas are great to cuddle.

Great-grandmas are even greater to cuddle.

Visits at the hospital 9-3-10

Uncle Brian and his friend stayed at our house (with Paw Paw) and went to the OSU game.
They stopped by the hospital to see the little guy before the game.

Grandma Cooper brought Sadie over for lunch.
She wanted to hold the baby
Dash didn't enjoy being held.

Sadie thought his nuk as pretty cool.

Going home.
Look at how little he is in the car seat!

At the Hospital 9-2-10

Little sleeper.

Look at those baby blues.

So serious.

Do I see a little smile?

Asleep in Daddy's arms when he came to sleep at the hospital.
(He had been working on building a fence with PawPaw Duffy all day.)

PawPaw came with Grandma and Sadie.

Sadie was very excited to see her new brother.

Planned deliveries are so much better than going through labor!

We were much less tired and more prepared for our new little boy.

After a sleepless night (we were so excited!) we arrived at the hospital at 6:45 am to fill out paperwork. I wasn't allowed to eat or drink anything (besides water) for 12 hours before. We filled out paperwork, they put a monitor on the baby and I, and we waited for the doctors. First the anesthesiologist came in a discussed the spinal tap. Adam and I felt really comfortable with him (plus he was rockin' a stossel-like mustache).

Dr. Mini arrived around eight and talked with us.

I was wheeled into the operating theater and given my spinal tap while Adam changed into his "space suit". It was really strange. As soon as the fluid was injected into my back, my legs started to rapidly get numb and the nurses helped me go from sitting to lying down.

I got pretty dizzy and threw-up, which was weird because I hadn't eaten anything except some kind of antacid tablet that the nurse gave me.

Then Adam came in and very shortly after, we heard baby Dash.
This is about 30 minutes before the baby!

Here we are still in the operating theater!

Here is one of the first pictures of our little guy - wet hair and all.

I think he looks like Sadie.

Grandma brought Sadie to see her new brother.
Sadie didn't really like when people held the baby.
Grandma Duffy drove up in the morning and was there when they brought Dash back from his first bath!

First diaper change from Daddy!

New Changes for Sadie 8-30-10

The day before the new baby came, Sadie was able to sleep in her brand new room!

Mommy picked out the bedspread and (almost) finished two walls of the new mural.

Sadie was super excited!

Take notice of her new panties.

(completely potty trained a week before the baby came - Awesome!)

She loves her new Bog Sister shirt. She really being called a big sister, but she has no idea that her world is about to be rocked!
